I'm back. Went to a Wedding...

I have been so reluctant to be by the computer, doing anything. It's been so busy outside the computer world... all sorts of music and extra cirricular activities, usually centered around music. Some visual art. A lot of bull shit. There is little downtime. There is however, love, tragedy, joy and disappointment, mirth and merriment- it all goes down so fast. Played some shows. Eye and Ear 3 was a hoot! Didn't catch the first night. Went to the ex wife's wedding.
Most people are like- "You were invited to your ex's wedding?" or "Did you feel weird?"... all sorts of questions and comments. I'm going to be honest... I did feel somewhat weird... about seeing the ex's family for the first time since our divorce. I'm so glad I saw them. They were so kind, and they said so many awesome things to my new Love... it warms my heart, as much as it reassures me of my decision to allow myself to be swept off of my feet by a totally awesome Lady (and the word Lady must have a capital "L!" She's that great!!!) I'm most glad that we could both find happiness for ourselves and retain our friendship. It's one of those good things about adulthood, you know? Maturity. Sounds crazy, right? But it ain't. Kudos to you, Linda and Philip! I am certain that you will have many, many happy times together!!!

I'll get some posts about the creative things going on, later today. I just wanted to share this revelation of adult life with y'all! Cha Cha Ciao!!!

I was strolling home with my records in tow from another stellar "Particularly Random" party @ Tandem. Oh, we had so much fun! Every one was on. I do love how James, Lloyd and I were all feeling the same wave length, this night. You should really come to the next one in June! They even have Lowenbrau! Where is the last place you were at that had Lowenbrau? Anyways, I get to the corner and this is what is going on in the reality of dawns early light.

IT'S TWO SHOW TUESDAY!!! EXCEPTER EARLY SHOW AND SSPS LATE!!!

TONIGHT AT KNITTING FACTORY!!! EXCEPTER is back!!! We will Be supporting "Z'S" on the night of their RECORD RELEASE PARTY!!! NEW SLAVES is the name of their new record and I suggest that you check it out if you lean towards the Avant Garde end of music that resembles a human controlled weather system in the best way! MICK BARR is also gonna be in the mix with his Ax in tow. Sonic. Shredding. Passive. Violent. This stone cold mother is no joke. The Real Deal- ladies and Germs. Lots of nods to classical composition, and the evilest of guitar metal genius. SILK FLOWERS is also in the mix. I have only caught them live a couple of times and their sound is continually changing, based on what their two self released seven inches tell me.
THIS SHOW IS ALL AGES!!! Doors are at Seven PM.





... AND ON TO THE 21 AND OVER SHOW. After the Excepter show, I am gonna skiddaddle on down to GLASSLANDS to joining a party that will already be in progress. It's the PENDU/FINGERED WEEKLY DISCO. SSPS will be performing with KONNICHIWA and THE GAMUT!!!

!!!TERRIBLE EAGLE ROBBED ON TOUR IN NAPOLI ITALY!!!

It is a common nightmare among most people. The idea that you could be robbed or burglarized. Too be violated. Too have all of your gear stolen out of the van on tour. This just happened to my friend's band TERRIBLE EAGLE, while in Italy. And I thought that my CZ101, falling into a puddle of gutter water last Friday night, while loading in during a rainstorm, wasn't bad enough!!! It would have sucked worse to have gone to the van, and find it all gone. They had ten shows left, too. I wonder if they'll finish, somehow? I've heard that Napoli was historically a pretty ghetto city. Too have anything stolen from you, it's so goddamned violating. One couldn't help but to swear, it's so incredibly, fucked up.

!!!PETER STEELE DEAD OF HEART FAILURE!!!

The 2 Carnivore records were some of the harhest thrash/crossover records when I was in High School. One of the common bands that united punks, metalheads, and shit kickers... sure they were "Archie Bunker-ish" in their ideals,but good music spans the whole spectrum. I never really got into Type O Negative. Their version of Jimi Hendrix's- "Manic Depression" is completely with out insanity, in my opinion. Jimi, himself wouldn't deny it's complete viciousness. Imagine the heart, speeding double bass. That ferocious scream. May you, and Anton Levy haunt the sub levels of Rock and Roll Doomery for eternity.
